Sarah Chalke is expecting her first child, a rep for the star confirmed to Access Hollywood.

“‘Scrubs’ star Sarah Chalke and fiance Jamie Afifi are expecting their first child this winter,” a rep for the actress said.

Chalke, 32, and Afifi, an entertainment lawyer, became engaged in 2006 after he proposed in Hawaii.

The couple met through mutual friends.

“I met my fiance through friends on a ski trip,” Chalke told OK!

Chalke, who recently starred in Lifetime’s “Maneater” and plays Dr. Elliot Reid on the ABC hospital comedy, said back in May that she had already been wedding dress shopping as she and Afifi were “planning a wedding.”

“I’ve been once, and I fell in love with the dress,” she told OK! “I haven’t ordered it yet, but I think it’s the one that I’ll get. It’s totally the opposite of what I thought I would want. I thought I would probably want something a little more simple, but then when you try on those fabulous, big dresses, I fell in love with one.”
